anewera doesn't just make businesses discoverable. Agents can also detect which contact functions are allowed.
The flow for agents
An agent can first read the directory or the Agent Index. Then it can search for a fitting business by category, region, service or function.
If a function like request_rate, request_quote, request_meeting or ask_question is active, the agent can run it through the Agent API or MCP tools.
Why functions matter
A contact form is good for people. Agents need a clear description: Which action is possible? Which data is expected? What happens after the call?
anewera translates these actions into defined functions. In the first version many functions are delivered by email to the business. Later, calendars, webhooks, calculators and APIs can be added.
What's possible today
Today agents can read profiles, search for businesses, see available functions and trigger email-based requests.
For testing there is a dry-run / preview-only mode, so agents can check what would happen without triggering a message.
